Light the way with us
Beehive is a well established and recognised Montessori school situated in modern, purpose-designed premises beside the sea in Mosman Park, Western Australia. The school educates over 200 students aged from 3 years to 15 years, which includes a well established Education Support Centre for students with disabilities. We also run a playgroup for children aged 18 months to 3 years.
We place a high value on individuals who are energetic, optimistic, talented, and want to make a difference. We look for people who are dedicated to the ideals of authentic Montessori education and strongly believe that great teachers are our best asset to continuing excellence in Montessori education.
Our teachers enjoy very well equipped classrooms. We have a beautiful new energy-efficient school building on our campus adjacent the Indian ocean and native bushland on Whadjuk country.
Teachers at Beehive engage deeply with Montessori philosophy and enjoy working in a high fidelity Montessori environment. This leads many of our staff to stay at Beehive for a large part of their careers.
Relief teachers and volunteers
Experienced teachers or education assistants are welcome to apply for relief positions.
Our process for employing relief staff includes observations in a classroom, and a meeting to review policies, documentation and requirements. This is followed by reference checks and volunteer sessions in a classroom.
Applying for a position
All School employees (including relief staff) must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Clearance and all teachers must be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA). All employees read, acknowledge and comply with the Staff Code of Conduct.
Further information on our screening process is available here. Beehive Montessori School is an equal opportunity employer.
