Beehive has been inspiring children with the joy of learning for more than 45 years.
Our school engages every child to develop to their full potential through sophisticated programs that foster critical thinking, independence, creativity and responsibility — guided by a staff of supportive, highly-trained teachers and a community of families that actively support our mission.
Our students eagerly embrace learning because they are immersed in an environment abundant with opportunities for discovery. Second-generation alumni comprising our community now see their children benefitting from our high-fidelity Montessori program.
Mission
Nurturing independence so that our children can find their place in, and contribute to, a better world.
Vision
To provide excellence in Montessori
education.
Values
Respect, compassion, curiosity, responsibility, and individuality.
Future-focussed education
At Beehive, we approach education holistically — the child’s physical, social, and emotional growth are as important as academic progress.
The Montessori curriculum fosters skills and competencies that are sought-after in the 21st century: collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and respect for oneself, others, and the environment.
High-fidelity
Montessori teaching
The Beehive Montessori School provides high-fidelity Montessori education in accordance with Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) principles, as well as the mandated Western Australian Curriculum.
The majority of our staff are five-year trained, with a tertiary education qualification and a Montessori diploma.
A community school
Beehive is a strategically small community school. Our capacity of about 250 students ensures you’ll be joining a tightly-knit community where students, parents and staff know each other.
Purpose-built environments
Beehive Montessori is a village by the sea, located on Whadjuk country, adjacent to the Indian Ocean in Mosman Park, Perth.
Our school environment comprises architecturally designed, purpose-built classrooms, communal spaces and outdoor facilities.
The design of each classroom is based on Montessori principles and practices that enable independent, self-directed teaching and learning, and support social and emotional wellbeing.
